The report supports the development of a green fuel project in Toledo, Paraná, Brazil, focusing on the production of green hydrogen and renewable biogas from animal and agricultural waste. The main study (available at Sustainable Production of Hydrogen and its derivatives from biogas and Green Hydrogen in Paraná, Brazil) has been organized into two volumes written in journalistic language: ''Volume 1: Techno-economic assessment and export certification'' provides a techno-economic assessment of the biogas and PtX plant, analyzing the feasibility of green fuel production, evaluating different scenarios and carrying out basic economic analyses. It also covers certification and sustainability requirements, ensuring compliance with European market standards on carbon intensity, biomass feedstock and energy inputs. Volume 2: Environmental Impact, Legal Context, Animal Welfare and Project Financing Strategy summarizes the studies on the project's environmental, legal and animal welfare impacts. |
