It emphasizes the importance of certification for establishing a sustainable hydrogen economy and examines specific certification schemes and digital solutions to streamline the process. The document highlights the challenges and potential of digital technologies like blockchain and smart contracts in enhancing certification transparency and efficiency. The report analyzes primary certification schemes, such as CertifHy™ Scheme, TÜV Rheinland Standard H2.21, and ISCC PLUS with GHG Emissions Add-On, and compares their applicability, GHG emission savings criteria, technological requirements, and monitoring systems.
