The present study focuses on the potential of Brazilian industries to produce syngas, through their residues and low-value by-products. Syngas is a mixture of carbon monoxide (CO) and hydrogen (H2), used in the Fischer-Tropsch process to produce Sustainable Aviation Fuels (SAF). The objective of the study was to estimate the annual potential to produce synthesis gas in Brazil and to point out which industries and which regions of the country have the greatest potential.
